The black hose that is disconnected from the bottom of the Bissell CrossWave Multi-Surface 1785 vacuum cleaner is the hose for emptying the dirty water tank. To reconnect it, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the power and disconnect the plug from the electrical outlet. 2. Angle the dirt tank back into the body of the machine, inserting the bottom first. 3. Tilt the top of the dirt tank toward the machine and push it into place until you hear a click. 4. Once the parts are dry, reassemble and replace the top of the dirty water tank. 5. Place the vacuum filter back into the top of the dirty water tank. 6. If the inside area where the dirty water tank sits is dirty, wipe it clean with a rag or towel. 7. Make sure to clean your dirty tank and let all components dry out after each use to keep your product at its best.

The motor makes a lot of noise like a bad ball bearing . Is it possible to change the ball bearing or have to change the motor?

I would prefer to use a mixture of vinegar and water to clean ceramic tile floor. Will that work with this machine?

Yes. But I've finally found that using 70% rubbing alcohol with water works best. It dries quicker this way. I upgraded by using mint scented rubbing alcohol lol.

How do I remove the wheels from the cross wave. I can find zero information, even zero info on the wheel replacements if you happened to break one. Please help . (I AM ASKING ABOUT THE WHEELS, NOT THE ROLLER CLEANING BRUSH)

Frequently Asked Questions

Can't find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the Bissell CrossWave Multi-Surface 1785 below.

My Bissell vacuum is losing suction. Why is that?

Your Bissell vacuum cleaner losing suction power can be due to the following causes: - The suction power is not set to maximum - The dust container or dust bag is full - The hose, brush or tube is clogged

How often should I check the filter?

A clean filter is important to maintain the vacuum cleaner's suction power. Therefore, check the filter regularly. When a filter is clogged, dust absorption decreases and energy consumption increases.
